A regional open day titled “Barrier-Free Education” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
The purpose of the event was to exchange experience in inclusive education for children with special educational needs, strengthen professional cooperation among teachers and specialists, and introduce modern teaching methods and approaches.
Teachers, special education specialists, and career guidance counselors from educational institutions in Atyrau participated in the open day, discussing current issues in inclusive education.
During the event, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy Lyaila Koishygulova and Dean of the Faculty of Innovative Education, Professor Akmaral Mukhanbetzhanova, emphasized the importance of inclusive education.
Senior Lecturer and special education specialist of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy Zhanar Bekzhanova, as well as Ardak Urymbayeva, methodologist of the “Inclusive and Special Education” Department of the Methodological Center of the Education Department, shared practical experience in working with students with special educational needs.
Gulzhanar Kubiyeva, Head of the “Inclusive and Special Education” Department of the Methodological Center of the Atyrau Regional Education Department, presented a report on current issues and modern trends in the inclusive education system.
As part of the program, participants were informed about the traditional “Job Fair - 2026” held at the university, followed by a Q&A session.
At the end of the event, participants exchanged opinions and proposed recommendations for the further development of inclusive education.
