On April 28-29, 2026, the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad for the educational program 6B02301 - Translation Studies (French Language Section) was held at Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. The Olympiad was organized by the Faculty of Multilingual Education and the Department of Translation Studies and Foreign Languages.
Students from leading higher education institutions across the country took part in the competition, highlighting the national significance of the academic event and contributing to the strengthening of interuniversity academic cooperation.
The Olympiad consisted of two stages, during which participants demonstrated their knowledge and professional skills in written and oral translation in French.
The jury panel included Professor Gulnar Askarova, Candidate of Philological Sciences from the Sorbonne Institute at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, and Gulbakyt Shalshykbayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Romance Languages at the Faculty of Translation and Philology of Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.
On the final day of the Olympiad, the jury announced the official results. The winners were ceremonially awarded by Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy Lyaila Koishygulova.
