A round table discussion titled “Current Issues of Legal Regulation in Digitalization” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University in accordance with the scientific plan of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines.
The meeting was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, including Major of Police A.K. Idrisov, an operational officer of the Anti-Drug Crime Department of the Atyrau Region Police Department, and Captain of Police A.B. Nurudinov, a senior operational officer of the same department.
The main goal of the meeting was to explain legal issues arising in the process of digitalization, enhance students’ legal literacy, and develop their skills in correctly applying legal norms in the modern digital environment. The discussion also covered topics such as drug-related crimes, personal data protection, cybersecurity, and the rights and responsibilities associated with the use of electronic services.
During the meeting, students became familiar with current issues in digital law and actively shared their opinions. It was noted that the development of digitalization requires continuous improvement of legal regulation, as well as increased responsibility of every citizen in the digital space.
The questions raised by students demonstrated their strong interest in the topic.
