A scientific seminar on the topic “Current Issues of Physical Education in General Secondary Schools” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
The event brought together faculty members and education professionals.
During the seminar, participants discussed key challenges in teaching physical education. In particular, the features of the assessment system were analyzed, including the advantages and disadvantages of non-graded formats. International practices in assessing physical education were also compared, and the current state and development trends of the subject in Kazakhstan were examined.
The meeting also focused on effective approaches to increasing students’ physical activity, improving lesson quality, and strengthening the health of the younger generation. Participants emphasized the importance of introducing modern teaching methods, including the use of digital technologies, gamification elements, and strategies to boost student engagement.
Concrete proposals for addressing current challenges in the field were put forward, and the seminar served as a platform for exchanging experience. Such meetings contribute to improving the content of physical education, enhancing teaching quality, and implementing effective methods aligned with modern educational requirements.
At the end of the event, participants highlighted the importance of the seminar and expressed the need to organize similar meetings on a regular basis.
