The grand opening of a republican volleyball tournament among faculty members of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the memory of war and labor veteran Ryskali Zhamaliuly Zhamaliyev, was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
Ryskali Zhamaliyev was a recipient of the medals “For Courage,” “For the Defense of Stalingrad,” “For the Liberation of Prague,” “For the Capture of Berlin,” and “For Victory over Germany,” as well as the badge “Exemplary Communications Specialist.”
Teams from higher education institutions across various regions of the country are participating in the large-scale sports competition, including:
– Academician Abdimusa Kuatbekov Peoples’ Friendship University(Shymkent)
– Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University (Shymkent)
– Karaganda Buketov National Research University (Karaganda)
– West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University (Oral)
– Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University (Atyrau)
The ceremonial event was attended by distinguished guests who delivered congratulatory remarks. Among them were:
Nurlan Abdimusauly Kuatbekov, President of the Academician Abdimusa Kuatbekov Peoples’ Friendship University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor;
Akynkozha Kalenuly Zhanibekov, Member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University, PhD, Professor;
Amanay Baiturymuly Myrzabayev, Professor of the Department of Zoology at Karaganda Buketov National Research University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences;
Serik Amantaiuly Bisaliyev, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Informatics at West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University;
Nurgul Shaidollakyzy Khinekina, Head of the “Dara Saz” Art Studio, laureate of international and national competitions;
Asan Saiynuly Raushanov, Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Distinguished Sports Figure, Vice-President of the Atyrau Region Para Judo Federation, and Director of Children and Youth Sports School No. 3.
In addition, the descendants of the veteran -his children Telegen Ryskaliuly, Gulfaram Ryskalikyzy, Nurzhamal Ryskalikyzy, as well as other relatives - attended the event.
The official part of the ceremony began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The opening speech was delivered by Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Social Affairs Lyaila Yerbolatkyzy Koishygulova. Distinguished guests also emphasized the significance of the tournament and expressed their best wishes.
The veteran’s grandson, reserve police major Arman Telegenuly Zhamaliyev, also addressed the audience, sharing memories of his grandfather’s life and heroism.
During the event, musical performances were presented for the guests. The children’s group “Arnau” performed the “Erturan” kuy from the Yerturan ensemble, while Ahmad Rafaeluly Khabirov - a prize-winner of international and national competitions and a descendant of the veteran - performed Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly’s “Balbyrauyn” together with his teacher Nurgul Khinekina.
The event continued with volleyball matches of the republican tournament among faculty members of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan.
