A scientific seminar titled “The Role of the Historian in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: From Source Analysis to Ethical Responsibility” was organized at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University on the initiative of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and World History.
The main goal of the seminar was to explore the potential of artificial intelligence in historical research and to discuss issues of source studies and scientific ethics in the digital era. Scholars, faculty members, young researchers, and students gathered to share their views on the impact of AI on the field of history.
During the seminar, participants addressed key topics such as the role of AI in historical research, the opportunities of Big Data, working with digital archives, and the ethical implications of deepfake technologies. In addition, the effectiveness and limitations of using AI in the educational process were widely discussed.
At the end of the seminar, participants exchanged recommendations and emphasized the importance of the responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence in science and education.
