Students Met with Prosecutor Ruslan Aitimov as Part of the “Law and Order” Awareness Month

As part of the “Law and Order” legal literacy month, a meeting was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University with the Prosecutor of Atyrau city, Ruslan Aitimov.
The main purpose of the event was to enhance students’ legal awareness and culture, and to emphasize the importance of complying with legal regulations.
During the meeting, Mr. Ruslan Otegenuly spoke in detail about the importance of upholding the rule of law and the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms. He also addressed the societal dangers of drug-related crimes and the legal consequences they entail. In addition, the prosecutor explained what actions constitute self-defense within the boundaries of the law. Specific attention was given to the criminal liability associated with group fights.
“It is clear that ignorance of the law does not exempt anyone from legal responsibility. That is why we all share a common responsibility to be legally informed, understand legislation, and act within the law. Nowadays, serious crimes, including drug-related offenses, are on the rise among youth and adolescents,” said Prosecutor Aitimov.
He also thoroughly explained the recruitment process for law enforcement agencies, stages of competitive selection, and the opportunities for building a career in this field. Sharing his own professional journey, he offered practical advice and motivational insights.
The event was held in an open and interactive format. Students asked pressing questions and received valuable legal information.At the end of the meeting, on behalf of the university administration, Mr. Ruslan Otegenuly was thanked for his contribution. It was also noted that similar events will continue to be organized in collaboration with the university’s Legal Clinic.
