Regional Conference “Enbekpen Orilgen Omir” Held at Atyrau University

A regional conference titled “ Enbekpen Orilgen Omir” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Madina Gabdisalimkyzy, an Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region, recipient of the “Parasat” Order, and a prominent public figure.
The event aimed to honor and discuss Madina Gabdisalimkyzy’s significant contributions to science, education, and public service, while promoting her life path and work ethic as a role model for younger generations. The conference brought together regional veterans, trade union representatives, university leadership, faculty members, and students.
The opening of the conference featured a documentary film detailing her life and achievements in government and civil society. In his welcoming speech, Rector Salamat Idrissov stated:
“Today’s event at Atyrau University is part of a series of celebrations honoring the 90th anniversary of Madina Gabdisalimkyzy, who dedicated her life to the development of our country and region. We sincerely congratulate her on this milestone. Her exemplary life and dedicated service are an inspiration to all, especially the youth.”
During the first part of the event, congratulatory speeches were delivered by:

• Murat Uteshov, Chairman of the Atyrau Regional Veterans’ Council,

• Abdolla Idresov, Chairman of the Atyrau Regional Branch of the AMANAT Party,

• Baktybek Taubayev, Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor,

• Shakhman Nagimov, Chairman of the Veterans’ Council of Atyrau University, PhD in Pedagogy,

• Khatimolla Rizuanov, Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region, one of the university’s first graduates, statesman and public figure,

• Kylyshbai Sundetuly, Chairman of the Atyrau Regional Organization of the Kazakhstan Education and Science Workers’ Union,

along with special guests from neighboring districts. They expressed their appreciation for Madina Gabdisalimkyzy’s invaluable contributions to the region’s development and congratulated her on her anniversary.
Renowned scholar, poet, and professor Kadyr Jusip Otegenuly dedicated a heartfelt poem to Madina Gabdisalimkyzy and presented her with a freshly published book.
At the plenary session, the following speakers delivered presentations:

• Dr. Zhamiga Tanatarova, Professor of History: “Madina Gabdisalimkyzy’s Scientific Research and Public Service”,

• Gulbarshyn Musina, Deputy Director for Educational Affairs at Salamat Mukashev Atyrau Polytechnic Higher College: “A Life as an Example for Future Generations”,

• Tamara Aman-Turlina, Honorary Citizen of Atyrau City and member of the Regional Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy: “The Phenomenon of Graceful Aging.”
In her presentation, Professor Tanatarova emphasized:
“What distinguishes a person in service to the nation is integrity and honest labor. Thanks to her dedication, Madina Gabdisalimkyzy has become one of Atyrau’s most respected figures. A beloved wife, a nurturing mother, a tireless scholar, and a patriotic citizen - she is also a wartime generation representative who experienced the hardships of the Great Patriotic War. I propose that her life and scientific work be further studied and used as topics for graduate and master’s theses, and that her doctoral dissertation be updated and published as a book.”
The event concluded with a musical interlude and commemorative group photos. This jubilee celebration served as a well-deserved tribute to a remarkable woman who has greatly contributed to the development of the Atyrau region.
