At the beginning of the war, more than 500 German planes flew reconnaissance missions from the front in Stalingrad to Western Kazakhstan, Mangystau, Aktobe and Guryev (Atyrau). The questions behind this visit were: "Is it worth conquering this region of Kazakhstan?" and "What is its future?" "There were big questions: "What happened?"," shared the memories of the difficult years doctor of philological sciences, professor Kadyr Otegenuly.
