Education, Academic Degree, and Title: In 1979, he graduated from the Guryev Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, with a specialization in Physics Teaching. In 1985, he completed his studies at the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Mining Engineering and Geology, and in 1990 — the Special Faculty of Ecology at Leningrad State University. From 1997 to 1998, he was a postgraduate researcher at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. In 1998, he defended his PhD dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences on the topic: “Ecological and Geochemical Features of the Northeastern Part of the Caspian Lowland” at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. He is a Corresponding Member of the Academy of COAPEBUR in the “Ecology” section, a member of the National Academy of Mining Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor, and Honored Worker of the Ecological Sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He holds a certificate of accreditation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a subject of scientific and/or scientific-technical activity. He is the author of four monographs related to the electron paramagnetic resonance of oils in Western Kazakhstan, ecology, chemistry, and environmental protection technologies. He holds four authorship certificates, three preliminary patents, one patent, and one innovation patent. He is a specialist in ecology, gas purification, and waste processing in the oil and gas industry. His scientific interests include the development of innovative technologies for the utilization of hydrogen sulfide-containing gas emissions and the purification of petroleum gases using efficient technologies. M.K. Jexenov has authored more than 100 publications, including 8 articles indexed in Scopus with percentiles ranging from 27% to 41%, and 8 articles in Web of Science journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
