Policy on Quality Education
Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov is a multidisciplinary regional university focused on training competitive professionals for the socio-economic development of the Atyrau region and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The University creates a modern educational environment that integrates academic traditions, innovation, and a practice-oriented approach.
Quality education is considered a key element of sustainable development and the foundation for building human capital. The University ensures accessibility and inclusiveness, providing equal opportunities for students’ academic, professional, and personal growth.
The University’s educational programs cover a wide range of fields, from pedagogy and law to engineering, natural sciences, and IT. Training is delivered through bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs aligned with learning outcomes and labor market demands. Most programs are accredited at national and international levels, confirming their quality and compliance with modern standards.
The University actively implements innovative approaches, including STEM, CLIL, and digital technologies. In collaboration with international partners, including Finnish universities, modern teacher education programs are being developed. These programs focus not only on professional knowledge but also on digital skills, research culture, soft competencies, and adaptability.
Special attention is given to digitalization. Students have access to global platforms such as Coursera, earning thousands of certificates annually. The University develops its own digital solutions, integrates artificial intelligence, and launches Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
Lifelong learning is a key priority. The University implements retraining and professional development programs, as well as social initiatives such as the “Silver University.”
Education is closely linked with practice. The University cooperates with regional enterprises and organizations, providing students with internship opportunities and employment pathways. A high graduate employment rate (over 90%) reflects the effectiveness of the educational model.
Modern infrastructure supports student development, including academic buildings, laboratories, digital systems, high-speed internet, dormitories, and sports facilities.
