Biography

Nurmukasheva Salima Kairzhanovna is a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and an Associate Professor. She was born on December 8, 1950, in the city of Guryev (now Atyrau), in a working-class family. In 1968, she graduated from the Y. Altynsarin Secondary School. In 1969, she entered Al-Farabi Kazakh State University (formerly S. M. Kirov University), graduating in 1974. By assignment from the Ministry, she began her professional career as a history teacher at Vocational Technical School No. 101 in Guryev. In 1977, she was appointed Head of the Practice Department at the Guryev Pedagogical Institute. From 1979 to 1988, she worked as a lecturer and senior lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology. In 1981–1982, she completed an internship at the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR in Moscow, where she attended lectures by renowned psychologists such as V. A. Krutetsky, M. G. Yaroshevsky, and other distinguished scholars. From 1985 to 1988, she pursued full-time postgraduate studies at the Y. Altynsarin Research Institute of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She defended her dissertation entitled “Development of Military-Patriotic Education of Senior School Students in Kazakhstan Schools (1960–1985)” and obtained the academic degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in the specialty 13.00.01. Later, by decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in Psychology (19.00.01). Since completing her postgraduate studies in 1988 up to the present day, she has been working at the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy as a senior lecturer, associate professor, and associate professor of the university. From 1992 to 1999, she served as Head of the Department of Psychology. Under her leadership, specialist training programs in “Pedagogy and Psychology” and “Psychology” were established for the first time. She also developed partnerships with professional institutions and schools and introduced pedagogical and industrial internships for students. Until 2000, she personally conducted approximately 30–35 forensic psychological examinations. From 2000 to 2004, she headed the Department of Fine Arts and Design. Between 2005 and 2008, she served as Chairperson of the Scientific and Methodological Seminar established under the Dissertation Council of Atyrau University in the specialty 13.00.01. From 2014 to 2020, she directed the Pedagogical and Psychological Technological Laboratory for Professional Education. In 2015, she completed professional development training at the University of Nice in France, and in 2018 at the University of Bucharest. In 2017, she participated in the Republican Forum “Religion and Women.” Scientific and methodological works: • “Do You Know Yourself?” (1999); • “Forensic Psychological Expertise” (1999); • “Practical Psychology” (2000); • textbook “Specialization Practicum” (2014); • monograph “Psychological Issues in the Works of Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly” (2019); • “Psychological and Pedagogical Laboratory as a Tool for Improving Professional Education” (2022); • “Personality Diagnostics” (2020); • textbook “Legal Psychology and Psychological Services in Law Enforcement Agencies” (2025); as well as author of approximately 40–60 scientific articles.
