Biography
Lazzat Kabdirovna Mazhitova is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Public Relations. She was born on February 5, 1964, in Suiyindik village, Tengiz district, Atyrau region, and is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 1985 to 1990, she studied at the Faculty of Journalism of S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University, where she obtained the qualification of journalist.
From 2006 to 2023, she worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Journalism, Faculty of Humanities and Arts, H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University. She currently continues her academic and teaching career at H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Department of Journalism and Public Relations.
Her academic and pedagogical work combines theoretical instruction with practical training in journalism. She is fluent in Russian and has elementary proficiency in English.
She has completed numerous professional development courses in leading educational and media centers in Kazakhstan and abroad. Her professional interests include media literacy, modern educational technologies, distance learning, environmental journalism, conflict journalism, digital communication, and pedagogical innovation.
Courses taught include: Children’s Journalism, Professional Ethics of a Journalist, History of Kazakh Journalism and New Media, Audience of Print and Electronic Media, Psychology and Sociology of Journalism, Media Management and Marketing, Speech Technique and Presentation Skills, Genre Forms and Functions of Modern Journalism, Contemporary Text: Media Language and Style.
