Biography

Born on March 6, 1966, in Tandai village, Makhambet district, Atyrau region, in a working-class family. He studied at Tandai Secondary School from 1972 to 1983. In 1983, he entered the Faculty of History and Philology at Guryev Pedagogical Institute and graduated in 1990 with a degree as a teacher of history, social studies, and Soviet law. Between 1984 and 1986, he served in the Soviet Air Force in the Far Eastern Military District (Vladivostok), after which he continued his studies. During his student years, he actively participated in public work, including student construction brigades involved in the construction of the Central Asia gas pipeline and industrial projects in the Lithuanian SSR. Professional Career: He began his career in 1990 as a teacher of history and geography at a boarding school in Makhambet district. From 1991 to 2001, he worked in educational institutions in Makhambet and Isatay districts as a teacher of history, social studies, and law, and later as deputy head for academic affairs. He actively contributed to patriotic education and regional studies, becoming one of the initiators of local tourism and regional history movements in Isatay district. In 2001, he joined H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University, where he held various leadership positions: 2001–2003 – Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Work (Faculty of Law) 2003–2004 – Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs (Faculty of History and Philology) 2004–2006 – Dean, Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management 2006–2011 – Dean, Faculty of Law 2011–2014 – Vice-Rector 2014–2015 – Senior Researcher, Z. Kabdolov Research Center 2015–2017 – Faculty Dean Since 2017, he has been the Director and Head of the “Mangilik El” Research Center at the university. Academic Degrees: Candidate of Sciences (2003) – “Socio-political Activity of Karatai Nuralyuly (1771–1826)” Doctor of Sciences (2010) – “History of Archival Development in Kazakhstan (1918–1991)” Research Interests: History of Kazakhstan, regional history, archival studies, national idea, historical heritage. Scientific and Professional Activity: Akkali Akhmet has consistently improved his professional qualifications through training at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Orleu National Center for Professional Development. Since 2006, he has been a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Humanities and a member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan. He has participated in numerous scientific projects and grant programs and conducted extensive archival research in Kazakhstan and Russia. He is the author of about 200 scientific publications, including monographs, textbooks, and document collections. Awards: 1. Honorary Certificate of Atyrau City Maslikhat 2.
