Kenzhegulov Beket

Beket Kenzhegulov – born October 28, 1960, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Email: b.kenzhegulov@asu.edu.kz Education and academic degree: He has a higher education. In 1983, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mathematics at the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov and was assigned by the Ministry of Education of the Kazakh SSR to the Guryev Pedagogical Institute as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Analysis. Specialty: mathematician, teacher. From 1986 to 1992, he undertook postgraduate training in full-time study at the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Kazakh State University. In 1992, he defended his Candidate of Sciences dissertation in the specialty 01.01.11 – Systems Analysis and Automatic Control (CD No. 067270; September 16, 1992, Protocol No. 3). In 1997, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in Mathematics by the Higher Attestation Commission (DAC No. 0002458, July 11, 1997, Protocol No. 5). From April 2009 to April 2010, he studied in a doctoral program at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan. On April 30, 2010, he defended his Doctor of Sciences dissertation in the specialty 05.13.18 – Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Methods, and Software Complexes (FD No. 0001138, September 30, 2010, Protocol No. 6). In 2011, he was awarded the title of Professor by the Higher Attestation Commission (PR No. 0000629, July 13, 2011, Protocol No. 5). Professional experience: Since 1983, he has been working at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, in the Department of Mathematics and the Methodology of Teaching Mathematics. From 1994 to January 2000 – Head of the Department of Algebra and Geometry. From January 2000 to April 2009 – Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Information Technologies. From September 2010 to 2011 academic year – Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management. From 2011 to 2014 – Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. From January 2012 to February 2016 – Deputy of the Atyrau Regional Maslikhat (5th convocation). From March 2016 to March 2022 – Member of the Public Council of the Atyrau Region. From 2014 to 2015 – Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. From 2016 to 2020 – Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Information Technologies. From November 2, 2020, to September 2022 – Director of the Research Institute “Mathematics and Applied Technologies” at the university; subsequently served as Head of the Department “Mathematics and Software Engineering” and Professor at the Department of Mathematics and the Methodology of Teaching Mathematics. Scientific Interests: Mathematical modeling, numerical methods, software complexes, differential equations and equations of mathematical physics, and mathematical analysis. Numerical modeling of multidimensional thermal and one-dimensional nonlinear thermomechanical processes in heat-resistant alloys.
