Global Partnerships

Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University is actively integrating into the global educational space, expanding horizons for its students, graduate students, and faculty. We build strong academic ties and continuously broaden the geography of our international engagement.

Scale of International Partnership The foundation of our international activity today rests on agreements with 109 foreign partners. We are developing dynamically: 20 new agreements have been signed recently. A flagship milestone in our integration is the strengthened partnership with the USA—a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Key Vectors of Cooperation The geography of our direct partnerships spans leading foreign universities and research centers across the following macro-regions:

• Asia: Malaysia (ICCCM), Mongolia (UFE, MNU), Hong Kong (HKMU), and China (Guilin Univ. of Electronic Technology).

• Middle East: Active engagement with universities in Turkey (Artvin Çoruh, Dumlupınar, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir, Ege University, Atatürk University) and Iran (University of Guilan).

• CIS and Europe: * Azerbaijan (ATU, Baku State University, Lankaran State University, Azerbaijan Univ. of Architecture and Civil Engineering);

  • Poland (WSB-NLU, Higher School of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk);

  • France (University of Poitiers);

  • Lithuania (Vytautas Magnus University);

  • Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas Univ.);

  • Uzbekistan (Kokand University).

Global Partnership Development (2025–2026) The university is strengthening its international standing as a full member of major educational consortiums:

• Association of Silk Road Countries (uniting universities from Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan);

• Association of State Universities of Caspian Region Countries (Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan);

• Turkic Universities Union (Kazakhstan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan).
