Scientific Projects and Startups

The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, M.S. Esenamanova, in her report “The Impact of Student Scientific Research on the Sustainable Development of the Region”, presented two unique projects:

  1. Technologies for growing plants without soil under climate change conditions                        

2. Phytotheri – processing plant and food waste into innovative materials

In the second round of the “StartUp 2025” competition, seven projects reached the finals, two of which belonged to students from the Department of Ecology:

Dosmukhambetova Dilnaz and Urgarchev Dmitry“Phyto Leather” project, 1,400,000 KZT

Aruzhan Satym, Dosbergenova Madina, and Tengebayeva Aliya – epoxy resin souvenirs, 1,000,000 KZT

Dosmukhambetova Dilnaz, a second-year student of the Applied Ecology program, won 1st place in the international scientific research competition “Bilim zhane Bolashak”. Scientific supervisor: N.R. Tauova.

In the eco-project “Zher ECO Hub”, third- and fourth-year students participated: Intimakhova Botagoz, Kelimberdina Zhibek, Sadibek Almira, Koishyghali Temirlan, Almuratkzy Asel. The team BioLotos received a certificate. Scientific supervisor: N.R. Tauova.

Second-year Applied Ecology student Dosmukhambetova Dilnaz received a certificate from the training program “Separate Waste Collection Near Home” under the initiative EcoBatys 20.

Scientific Achievements and Academic Mobility

The 2025 episode of the “Enbek Adamy” program on Atyrau TV highlighted the work of Mansiya Esenamanova, PhD in Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Ecology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, showcasing her scientific achievements and professional career.

N.R. Tauova gave an interview to Atyrau TV, discussing the importance of the Lotus ecosystem, including improving water quality, preserving biodiversity, and providing habitat for other plants and animals.

Associate Professor, PhD J.S. Esenamanova delivered lectures at the Department of Ecology and Geology at the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenov from March 10 to 21 as part of the academic mobility program.

Additionally, PhD, Associate Professor N.R. Tauova conducted lectures at the same university from November 17 to 29 within the academic mobility program. She also led practical sessions for fourth-year students of the Applied Ecology program (6B05201) in the “Industrial Ecology and Chemical Technologies” research laboratory.
