Universities of the Caspian region countries have signed memorandums of cooperation

Within the framework of celebrating the 85th anniversary of Khale l Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the XXVII General Assembly of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of Caspian Region Countries was held.

The meeting focused on the significance of educational, scientific, and cultural ties, as well as effective ways to implement research projects and educational programs.

Furthermore, several memorandums of understanding were signed between the members of the Association. Specifically, cooperation agreements were concluded between Guilan University and Astrakhan State Technical University; between Guilan University and the Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after General-Admiral F. M. Apraksin; as well as between Atyrau University and the Azerbaijan Technological University, between Atyrau University and Astrakhan State Technical University, and between Atyrau University and Astrakhan State University named after V. N. Tatishchev.

During the session, participants discussed directions for future joint activities and exchanged views. Following the discussions, decisions were made to conduct scientific research aimed at improving the environmental situation, restoring the marine ecosystem, and preserving biodiversity, as well as to implement initiatives for promoting the languages and cultures of the Association’s member countries.

The Association's membership was also expanded with the addition of several new universities.

Next year, the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of Caspian Region Countries will celebrate its 30th anniversary. It was decided to hold the next meeting in Rasht, Islamic Republic of Iran, hosted by Guilan University.
