XXVII General Assembly of the Association of State Universities of Caspian Region Countries

As part of the celebrations for the 85th anniversary of Khale l Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, a session of the XXVII General Assembly of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of Caspian Region Countries was held.

The Rector of the University, S. N. Idrissov, serving as the President of the Association, expressed his gratitude for the trust and high honor bestowed upon the university. On behalf of the Akim of Atyrau Region, Deputy Akim Kairat Nurtaev presented Letters of Appreciation to the Executive Secretary of the Association, E. A. Yukina, and to a Professor from B. B. Gorodovikov Kalmyk State University, A. K. Natyrov.

Unzila Shapak, a member of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial-Legal Reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Akerke Abylaikhan, a representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighted the Association's special role in strengthening international cooperation in science and education.

The Assembly was attended by representatives of leading universities and research centers from the Caspian region, including: Yuri Timofeevich Pimenov, Executive Director of the Association; Beibit Mamraev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atyrau University, Doctor of Philology, Professor; Julie Ranson, PhD, Associate Professor at the University of Poitiers (France); Alexander Nevalenny, Rector of Astrakhan State Technical University, and others.

During the Assembly, priority areas for cooperation were identified in the integration of science and education in the Caspian region, as well as in addressing environmental and technological challenges. It is noteworthy that the Association today is a reliable regional partner in science, education, and cultural interaction. In the near future, the "Caspian Campus" project is planned for implementation, aimed at expanding academic ties, student and faculty exchanges, and training a new generation of scientists and engineers. Additionally, a scholarship for research projects will be established, and the "Caspian — Territory of Cultural Dialogue" project, dedicated to the study and promotion of the traditions and languages of the member countries, will be launched.
