All participants successfully passed the final assessment and became eligible to obtain teacher qualification status.
According to Member of Parliament Askhat Kanatuly:
“For example, there are professionals with degrees in mathematics who do not hold a teaching diploma. Due to recent legislative changes, such specialists can now become school teachers after completing a pedagogical training course. This new procedure will help attract high-quality professionals to the teaching profession. It is not mandatory to hold a teaching degree - the key requirement is a strong command of mathematics.”
This opportunity is regulated by Article 10 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Status of a Teacher” and Order No. 110 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. That means specialists with relevant academic backgrounds, but without a pedagogical diploma, can now undergo retraining and work as teachers.
Such progressive steps in the education system contribute significantly to improving the quality of teaching staff and enhancing the overall standard of education in the country.
