Round Table Held as Part of Law and Order Month


At Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, a round table discussion was held on the topic “Enhancing Youth Legal Literacy and Trust in Law Enforcement Agencies” as part of the Law and Order Month.
The event, aimed at deepening students’ theoretical knowledge within the course “Law Enforcement Agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” brought together representatives of law enforcement agencies, lecturers from the Department of Law at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, and third-year students of the Law Enforcement program.
The round table, organized by the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, featured Aibol Idirisov, Deputy Head of the Local Police Service Department of Atyrau City Police Department, who spoke about current crime prevention measures. He highlighted recent amendments to laws and normative legal acts, shared crime statistics, and discussed the growing types of criminal offenses observed in society.
PhD in Law Ainur Issayeva from Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University gave a presentation titled “Disciplinary Responsibility of Minors”, in which she provided a comprehensive overview of the legal aspects of minors’ responsibilities within labor relations.
Another speaker, Aliya Muidenova, a senior lecturer and Master of Law at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, delivered a presentation on “Corruption and Youth: Fostering Anti-Corruption Awareness.” She addressed the development of systems to detect bribery and corruption, mechanisms for monitoring officials’ income and expenses, and ways to identify and prevent conflicts of interest.
In her presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Criminal Law,” Professor Zhanna Shayakhmetova, Candidate of Legal Sciences, discussed the use of digital technologies and Big Data in crime investigation, judicial proceedings, and legal practice. She emphasized the importance of protecting human rights and personal data to prevent the misuse and unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information when implementing digital technologies.
The round table concluded with a lively Q&A session and open discussion between the students and experts.
