The LibAU electronic library of Atyrau University has been launched

The presentation of the automated information system of the scientific library was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
The event was attended by the university’s professorial-teaching staff, students, as well as representatives of educational institutions in Atyrau region and the Atyrau Regional Universal Scientific Library named after G. Slanov.
The participants got acquainted with the capabilities of the electronic library and highly appreciated the advantages of the new platform.
The goal of the project is to increase access to knowledge and science, and to provide modern informational resources to researchers and students. The project authors, PhD, Associate Professor Kalamkas Bagitova, Associate Professor Galiya Saltanova, Senior Lecturers Gulzada Dasheva and Malika Shangitova, and IT department staff member Rishat Rashitov, planned the website development in three stages, with the first stage, the “platform,” being completed from March to December 2024. The electronic library is collecting scientific databases, textbooks, monographs, articles, and research. Additionally, search systems, bibliographic references, and digital tools have been developed for faculty and students.
“In the era of advanced technologies, we have distanced ourselves from books. Through the scientific electronic library project, it feels like we are reconnecting with books. Searching for books should be the motto of every learner,” said Beibit Mamrayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atyrau University, in his welcoming speech.
During the presentation, the university leadership expressed confidence that the use of the electronic library service will have a great impact on simplifying the process of writing research papers, as well as speed up and improve the quality of knowledge acquisition, making the project important at the regional level.
This initiative by Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University is one of the important steps aimed at developing digital educational resources in the region!
