Kazakhstan experience in the development of a multiethnic society
At the Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University a republican scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “Kazakhstan’s Experience in the Development of a Multiethnic Society,” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

The Chairman of the Board and Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Salamat Idrissov, congratulated the members of the Assembly on the anniversary, and the Chairman of the Atyrau regional branch of the “AMANAT” party, Abdullah Idresov, delivered a welcoming speech.

"The events and projects of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan have taken a significant place in the social and political life of the country and were aimed at maintaining unity and stability in the country. Among them, it is worth noting the “Zhomart Zhan” center, which was opened at the Assembly to hold charity events. By the end of 2024, the center held about 60 different events, providing assistance to more than 3,000 people in the amount of 31 million tenge. In addition, during the flood period in our country, the “Zhurekten Zhurekke” charity project was implemented to provide assistance to victims of natural disasters," said the head of the state institution "Public Accord" Lyazzat Dzhylkyshiyeva.
One of the important issues raised at the conference was the state of the official language. In a multi-ethnic country, methods of teaching the Kazakh language to representatives of other ethnic groups were discussed. “The language of communication for many ethnic groups should be Kazakh. The President of the country, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, also emphasized the importance of learning Kazakh language without compulsion in his speech. As a solution to this issue, the “Bylina” association has been organizing Kazakh language lessons every week in its library for the past three years. The lessons, titled “The Path to Conversational Language,” are held in various formats, such as conversations and singing Kazakh songs,” said Andrey Korablev, Chairman of the Russian Ethnocultural Association “Bylina.”
At the end of the conference, for many years of close cooperation with Atyrau University, and for supporting the creation of the Russian Literature room at the Faculty of Multilingual Education, the title of Honorary Professor of Atyrau University was awarded to Andrey Korablev, Chairman of the Russian Ethnocultural Association ‘Bylina.’”
