A round table on the topic "Modern trends in finance and accounting: education and career" was held at the Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
The meeting was attended by the faculty and academic council of the university, heads and leading specialists of business entities of the Atyrau region, employees of government organizations and students.
The round table determined the content of 2 bachelor's degree programs and 4 master's degree programs in the field of training "Business and Management" in accordance with the standards approved by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024, and also discussed the relevance of the discipline and the shortcomings that need to be eliminated.
The title of the subject "Fundamentals of Accounting" is too general, and its content is considered too general. "That is why, I think that it is necessary to rename the subject to the "Theory of Accounting", add more in-depth topics to the curriculum, and increase the number of practical classes," said Kozybak Kulbarakov, Director of the Atyrau branch of the Unified State Accounting.
