Biography

Gadilbek Muratuly ALZHANOV – PhD, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts and Design Born on November 25, 1982. In 2004, he graduated from Makhambet Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University with a degree in Decorative and Applied Arts and qualified as a professional decorative artist. In 2015, he received a Master's degree in Art Studies in Design from the same university. From 2017 to 2020, he pursued doctoral studies at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in the educational program “6D010700 – Fine Arts and Drawing” and received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. In 2023, within the framework of the “500 Scientists” research internship under the Bolashak International Scholarship Program, he completed a research internship in Art Management at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Akdeniz University in Antalya, Türkiye. He began his professional career in 2004 as a teacher of fine arts at Karatobe School-Gymnasium in the Karatobe District of West Kazakhstan Region. Since 2005, he has been engaged in academic and teaching activities at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts and Design. He is a member of the Eurasian Designers Union and the Union of Ethno-Designers of Kazakhstan. His research interests include art education, ethno-design, eco-design, decorative and applied arts, national art, and design. He participated in research project No. AP08053283, “Evolution of Eco-Design in Traditional and Contemporary National Art in Art Education.” He is the author of research papers on art education, ethno-design, and eco-design published in national and international academic journals, including publications indexed in the Scopus database. He has participated in international scientific conferences and symposia held in Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and other countries. He supervises student research projects and provides academic and methodological guidance to school teachers of fine arts and artistic labor. In 2021, he was awarded the Eurasian Designers Union medal “For Creative Excellence in Design Art” and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
